Five things to do this weekend (February 25-27)

End the month of February in style! Experience things you’ve never tried before or shop for new products to spice up your bedroom ambience.

Here are five things to do this weekend (February 25-27):

1. Feed rhinos

Meet Newari, one of the two Indian rhinos on the Night Safari!

In a new Night Safari attraction, you can now feed Newari with his favorite carrots for the modest sum of $10. You will also be able to take a photo with Newari and learn more about the Indian rhinos, classified as a vulnerable species.

The Indian Rhino habitat is located adjacent to Night Safari’s East Lodge and feeding sessions will begin at 7.30pm on operating nights. Reservations for a time slot at the attraction can be made at Night Safari website.

2. Take part in an interactive exhibition

The National Heritage Board worked with two immersive media companies to present a futuristic and interactive exhibit, DigiMuse 2.

Running at the Asian Civilizations Museum through March 20, the exhibit features two virtual reality experiences that history buffs and tech junkies alike can enjoy. These include unearthing a 14th-century blue-and-white porcelain vase from Chinese kilns in Jingdezhen and several Yuan Dynasty porcelain figurines near the Empress’s palace.

The museum opens from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, closing later at 9 p.m. on Fridays. Entry is free for Singaporeans and permanent residents.

3. Scream for ice cream

Famous local ice cream chain Birds of Paradise opened its third and final outlet in Tanjong Pagar earlier this month to much fanfare.

Located in a store on Craig Road, it offers gelato flavors made with botanical ingredients such as fruits, flowers, pods, herbs and spices. These include strawberry basil, coconut sorbet, and mandarin sorbet.

Birds of Paradise is located at 53 Craig Road #01-01, Singapore 089691. It is open daily (closed Mondays) from 12:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

4. Celebrate the spring season

It’s cherry blossom season!

And what better way to welcome the spring season than to get an adorable Starbucks glasses collection adorned with prints of pretty cherry blossom flowers. The collection also includes a travel organizer, reusable cutlery, an umbrella and a Cherry Blossom Starbucks card.

It is available on selected stores islandwide and online at the official Starbucks website Shop and Laz Mall channels, while supplies last.

5. Buy a new gaming chair

The attack of the Titans

It seems the Attack on Titan (AOT) hype is here to stay because Secret Lab just designed AOT Themed Gaming Chairs with the TITAN Evo 2022 series.

The chairs feature a magnetic memory foam head cushion that allows you to easily move it up or down for maximum comfort. There is also a layer of cooling gel that keeps the heat away.

For each purchase, you will also receive a pack of Secretlab Leather Wipes AOT edition. The wipes are specially formulated to ensure that the chairs stay in pristine condition.

Although the chairs are not yet available in Singapore, you can register your interest here.
