Laurie Ann Carucci, Sharon, PA Obituary
SHARON, Pa. (MyValleyTributes) – Laurie Ann Carucci, 64, of Clark, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Sharon Regional Health System.
Laurie was born January 6, 1957 to Alberta (Jones) Garrett and James Garrett, Sr., in Sharon, Pennsylvania.
Laurie worked for Daffin’s Candies for over 35 years where she held the position of Shipping Manager. She loved all aspects of her job and her colleagues.
On July 10, 1976, she married the love of her life, her ride and her death, James R Carucci, Sr.
Laurie attended Penn State University where she obtained her Associate’s Degree in 2001 in Business Administration.
Laurie was of the Pentecostal faith and her favorite color was purple. She liked to eat chocolate, drink wine and [weak] coffee with friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading Danielle Steel’s novels and Goodwill thrift stores. She is passionate about collecting crystal and ceramic figurines, various frogs, Christmas village houses and “small” rocks. Recently, she has started to restore items such as cast iron benches, rocking chairs and sewing machines.
Laurie really enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren. Mema was the fun grandparent, playing basketball, jumping in the bouncy house, playing Candy Crush Saga, or going to camp for some ice cream. Ultimately, she also enjoyed exploring the Harley with her husband. Travel anywhere, from the mountains to the ocean. They loved stopping at casinos, watching a beautiful sunrise, walking on the sand on the beach, or resting near a relaxing sunset.
Laurie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, James R Carucci Sr. and her three children, her son, James and his wife Christy Carucci of Edinboro, Pa., Her son, Paul and his wife Danyel Carucci of Volant, Pa. and her daughter, Mindy and her husband Josh Ciminella of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania.
Laurie adored her beautiful grandchildren, Sarah Carucci, Claire Carucci, MaKayla Ciminella, Maria Carucci, Noah Ciminella and Gwenneth Carucci.
Laurie is predeceased by her father, James L. Garrett, Sr .; brother, James L. Garrett, Jr .; Stepfather, Dominic Carucci and stepmother, Esther Carucci.
Friends can call Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Donaldson-Mohney 124 W. Main Street, Sharpsville, Pennsylvania.
The funeral will be held in private on Tuesday.
Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Clark PA.
