Alexandria, Virginia – Nelida “Nellie” Mr. Taylor passed into the hands of our Lord on September 3, 2021, in Washington, DC. Nellie was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 22, 1943, daughter of the late Miguel Angel and Matilde. She married her husband, Martin Taylor, 53, in 1968 in Washington, DC. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Ana Maria. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Karen Sprague, her son Mark Taylor, her son-in-law William T Sprague, III, her step-granddaughter Ashley Johnson, her step-great-grandsons Brody, Nathan & Zachary Johnson and Jana Niebaum, his son’s partner. Nellie has been fortunate to have lived in many different countries and travel the world. She was a dynamic and faithful servant of her Savior, a devoted wife and mother, and a friend to all. She brought joy to everyone she touched. She enjoyed being a part of community Bible study in the different communities where she lived. She had a passion to serve the Lord in the missions. She made many trips to the Dominican Republic to work with orphans and to Mississippi to help after Hurricane Katrina by providing food, clothing and toys. While living in Argentina, she engaged in making and painting porcelain figurines that now adorn her family’s home. Her warm smile and cheerful spirit will be missed by all.
