For those who play Pokemon GO, the game’s in-game Halloween event will run towards the end of October 2022. Previous Halloween runs spanned the second half of October and focused primarily on Ghost, Dark, and Poison-types, with their improved encounter rates for the duration of the event. The chances of some of these pocket monsters such as Spinarak are also increased. In-game items such as avatar items, stickers, and bundles also become available for the duration and will remain in the player’s possession once obtained. Any monster that debuts in this event, like Galarian Slowking last year, will remain available even after the event ends.
But wait, there’s more!
In October 2022, the Pokemon TV app on mobile devices, the Nintendo Switch, and Pokemon.com will feature episodes of the long-running anime series, most likely ones that feature Ghost and Dark types. “The Ghost of Maiden’s Peak” and “The Tower of Terror” from season one come to mind. It’s sure to be a deliciously haunting trip down memory lane for longtime fans.
From October 26 (PDT) and October 27 (JST), the MOBA 2021 Pokemon UNITE game will hold an in-game Halloween event. More information about the event will be announced.
